It doesn't match the product photos, and you can see right into the housing, so this is neither waterproof nor safeSummary:I was excited to select this one, especially as I get older it is harder to serve up a lot of frozen custard for a bunch of people, but this product doesn’t seem quite ready to sell, yet. It definitely has potential, and if they make some changes on the waterproofing, that might do it. With the power button just open to the inside, this doesn't seem safe to me. I had an issue trying to charge it via USB off of the computer, too: a message popped up about corruption and that the computer had to restart. I have never had that happen before, so it might not be related to connecting this to charge, but it could be. See photos for the power button issue. This heated ice cream scoop actually works and has been pretty impressive. It heats up quickly and cuts through very hard ice cream without needing a lot of force. The handle feels comfortable to hold and not slippery. Great scooper!
This ice cream scooper is great! It seems super sturdy and durable. We’ve had so many ice scoopers over the years that literally just break. Even if the heating component stops working in this, it can still function as a scooper. The heating component heats up super quickly and it even tells you the temp. It will be really nice to use for the homemade ice cream I make, which is harder to scoop.
