Excellent Tumbler

This is my second purchase of this tumbler because I like it so much. The outside texture is great because it is non-slip. In addition, the tumbler is spill-proof. I use it in my golf tote bag and it often gets set down sideways, and it never spills. The seal is so strong it is difficult to get the top off to wash it until you open the mouthpiece and add air to the inside. Plus the mouthpiece is removable by a gentle tug. It's kept in place by two ball bearings, one on each side, for easy cleaning. The 20 oz is perfect for my morning drink on the course, and it fits into the golf cart and car cup holders. It's an excellent tumbler.

Simple, but close to perfect.

We bought a half dozen travel cups over the past 6 months, but they have had some type of flaw. So I searched and finally found the right sort of cup to order. We are slowly replacing the flawed cups for each member of the family. This is our fourth cup in this new cup generation. This particular cup was ordered for my son for coffee.These are the issues that led me to choose this particular cup.:1. Size. This is 20 ounces, ideal for morning coffee. Check.2. Cup design. Almost all cup bottoms on the market are just fine. They’re usually made of double walled stainless steel, and are unbreakable and hold temperature well. A screw connection to the lid is preferred because it’s less likely to leak or fall off, but this is one has a rubber ring, and stays in place with friction. Nonetheless, the lid fits securely and it doesn’t leak. This cup seems to retain hot or cold temperatures all day with no problem. It’s sized properly to fit in the cup holder in your car. Check.3. Lid material. Most lids are made of sturdy black plastic. A concern has arisen about this black plastic. Most black plastic from electronic equipment, like TVs, contains flame retardants, which is unsafe for use with food. These plastics are then recycled into black plastic items of all sorts. So you don’t want this in your cup lid. The lid on the cup I ordered is made of sturdy clear plastic. Check.4. Lid design. This is where many cups fall short of our needs. We want a functional drinking spout, and don’t want to drink from a straw. One of the functions of the cup is to prevent spill. So it should be easy to close the cup to prevent leaks when you carry it around or drop it. If there’s a straw in the cup you have to take the straw out and stow it somewhere in order to close the cup. Some cups have a drinking spout but also have a lid or other protrusion that bump into your face when you use it. I also once had a cup with both a straw hole and a drinking spout, but the straw hole had a silicone stopper which soon fell out and was lost, leaving an open hole in the lid. This cup, however, has a simple drinking spout, both well designed and functional. There is a straw attached to the bottom of the cup lid with the sipping spout, so you can drink from the bottom of the cup without having to tilt the cup up. A real bonus is that the lid can be disassembled so you can clean the coffee stains off thoroughly. Check.This cup is about perfect for nonstraw users like our son. It’s also attractive. The Achilles heel of travel cups is the lid. This one doesn’t seem too fragile, but it seems like it’s a reasonably standard size.

Great for iced coffee

Coffee drinker review. Only use it for iced coffee, I don't like it for hot coffee because of the spout. Keeps the ice out and doesn't block up as much as the push aside lids . The price tag reflects the quality. The lid has the same problems as other lids. Little build ups in the corners and then the seal. A good cleaning helps that problem. Never put it in the dishwasher but it does say it's dishwasher safe.
