I knew when ordering it, that it was made of silicone. For the price point, that is what I expected as well. With that said, I have had this on my sink for about 2 months. I need to get my counters and sink replaced to previous water damage and was nervous about getting this. Previous sink guards I used looked so worn and full of gunk within a week. Perhaps it is the longer size, but this one still looks brand new and matches out kitchen décor perfectly! I am very impressed with the quality and that it is helping protect the counter and sink area. This is something we really needed.

Not what I expected
Disappointed, the description leads one to believe it’s “stone” not a silicone material. The description says24" x 5.9" Diatomite Faucet Mat for Kitchen Sink – Quick‑Drying Stone Splash Guard & Drip Tray, 0.67" Thick. The only “stone” is the color. It’s very large at 2 feet long and 6” wide. It does have nice drainage and is easy to clean. It’s not going to work for my kitchen counter, but I will use it in my utility room.
