Definitely worth their heft! - Stunning Thick Glass Contemporary designed Mugs & Accessories

It doesn’t happen often, but when I received the box on Christmas Eve containing this set of mugs, which were meant to be a Christmas gift, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to ensure that nothing was damaged during shipment. Since I had rushed to order them from my iPhone and primarily chose them because of their appealing design and leak-resistant features, I completely overlooked that they were true to the word “MUGS”—made of thick, crystal-clear, solid, and heavy glass. They weren’t just nice; they were spectacular and would make an excellent gift. I must admit, I almost wanted to keep them. But no, they remained a gift—one that received a reaction just as enthusiastic from the person who opened the wrapped box on Christmas Day. You can sense my lingering excitement from discovering that the set was much better than I had anticipated in my brief “hands-on video” included with this review.The mugs are “hefty,” as they should be, with a large, robust handle that provides a comfortable grip. I was curious, so I weighed one of the mugs without the caps or straws, and it weighed 1 pound 12 ounces—empty. I describe the design as “contemporary” due to its severe straight-up and down serrated line design, which maintains right angles horizontally and lacks gradual tapering or curves where the diameter of the mugs decreases from top to bottom. I find the austere, clean-cut appearance of the mugs stunning, and I’ve already ordered a second set for ourselves.I appreciate that they offer two styles of leak-resistant caps for the mugs. Both styles feature secure flush-fitting silicone seals.- The BAMBOO LID is the more simple of the two lid designs intended for drinking cold beverages in an environment where spills are not likely with movement, as they might be while driving a car, with the hole to accommodate one of the included straws in positioned in the center of the lid. Like the lid itself, the opening for the straw is lined with a silicone seal that is just loose enough to allow the straw to move freely within the cap opening and yet to be restrictive of splashing or inadvertent spills.
- The CLEAR PLASTIC LID features dual openings. One is in the center of the lid for a straw with a silicone seal that restricts leakage. The other ‘sipper’ latch closure is better suited for drinking hot or cold beverages where convenience is important. This opening can be opened and closed during consumption, and it also has a tight-fitting silicone seal to keep liquids in when closed. The most likely use scenario for this lid is while traveling in a vehicle.The mugs come with clear, durable, and reusable straws, including three straws and a brush for cleaning.These mugs are ideal for sipping on eggnog, a healthy smoothie, a tall cup of coffee, or your favorite brew. They are perfect for enjoying a ‘biggie’ sized beverage and looking good doing it.I highly recommend these mugs if you’re considering them. They look great and feel great to use. I consider them to offer excellent value.
