Incredible Grinder, Love the Results

This grinder is amazing! I love that it's all metal and very sturdy. It has done a great job grinding wheat berries. It's as noisy as I imagine a grinder would need to be. It's not too annoying, but I do tend to avoid grinding during my toddler's nap time. I haven't had trouble with it getting too hot, but I have only been grinding enough for one recipe at a time. I can see how if you were grinding a bunch of may overheat, but the point of grinding my own wheat is to have fresh ground for my recipes, which means I use this almost daily, but don't grind more than is needed for that day. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a grinder.

Mill is not messing around when getting the job done.

Decided to upgrade from my Kitchen Aid Mill. A lot of available mills were a little cost prohibitive, but this mill hit a sweet spot in the budget.This thing is not messing around. I like that you can fill the hopper with enough grain (wheat) to fill quart mason jars of flour. Completely milled in 30 seconds, sifted out and a few quick seconds of pulsing on the chaff and it was done.You can not clean with water, but a quick brush and wipe and it was back on the shelf. If you are a prepper, homesteader, have a gluten issue and are avoiding glyphosate , this may be the answer. Definitely beats a hand grinder if the power is on. Much faster than my kitchen Aid which requires a double mill for the whole batch (for wheat).Comes with a sifter, two spare blades and changing wrench, two spare mechanical motor brushes.Unit will tilt for emptying. You can also use this feature to rock the hopper slightly during grinding to move the grain for a more complete grind.Note: Grinding will increase the volume of the grain. I grind between 2/3 to 3/4 of a quart mason jar of grain to get a full quart of flour.
