This set of 2 handheld measuring spoons, are great for measuring wet & dry ingredients for a recipe.
These measuring spoons, that also serve as a mini scale are really nice.As you can see in my video, I put an apple on my digital food scale, and then in the handheld scale.You can see, they were both pretty much the same weight, with just a slight variation.In my videos I show you how you can measure in milliliters, fluid ounces, cups, and grams!I bake, so these will be very convenient for me, especially when I have to measure wet and dry ingredients for a cake batterThis set comes with two digital measuring spoons-weights, so when making a cake I can use one for wet ingredients, and one for the dry ingredients.I am hoping that these will make my baking a breeze.The handle is pretty easy to install. You just have to line it up with the slots in the measuring cup. To take it off, you don’t just pull it down, you wiggle it a little bit, that’s what I had to do.It comes with 2 soft cloths, I I think they’re for cleaning the handles because the handles cannot come in contact with any water or else it will mess up the digital part.There are a few changes however, that would have made this a five star review:I wish these spoons came with their own storage bag, like a little net bag that you can put these in when you’re done. Truth is they’re a little bulky to store.Also, the plastic is very cheap, which I was surprised about. I thought it would be a harder plastic like my other measuring cups. But as you can see in my video and pictures, I’m actually able to use two fingers to push each side in.I also don’t like the fact that the battery in the handle can be easily removed by a child.These batteries are on the list of things that children swallow that are very dangerous. There should’ve been a little screw on the battery compartment so a child can’t get to it unless they have a screw screwdriver.But I don’t have any small children in the house so I don’t have to worry about that, and I had an extra net bag so I stored them in there.Don’t get me wrong I do like them and I’m excited to use them.But if for some reason I run into any problems or they are not measuring correctly, I’ll update this review.I have high hopes for these. I hope they work out! The concept is really a good one!This would make a really awesome bridal shower gift, a hostess gift, or even a housewarming gift.They come with clear instructions. And they specifically warn against getting the handle wet, so make sure that you remove the handle before washing them.Also, as you can see in my pictures you need to hold the handle/cup at an even level or it will not read correctly.As you can see in my picture when I tilt it,it reads as if somethings in it.So you have to make sure that when using the measuring cups, they need to remain level in order to give you the proper measurement.
