works great & i'll never misplace my lame again!

i have to be honest. i almost passed on this lame based on its aesthetics...the colors just didn't harmonize with the earthiness of breadmaking. i also wasn't a fan of the large logo across the outside - but the price was right and these days, i try to stretch my dollar where i can. i went ahead with the purchase and have no regrets. i have scored 4 loaves since receiving. the retractable mechanism works smoothly and a little care needs to be taken to replace the blade, but it's very quick and easy. (i haven't had to replace the blade yet - just needed to know how that worked before deciding to keep). scoring my dough was nearly effortless. after using, i just clean the exposed blade, dry, retract and then stick it right back on the fridge where it stays put for the next use...adding a magnet to these things is ingenious! 🍞
