I like everything about this knife. Very nice and sharp.
I bought it because it was beautiful and I've always had great experience with their products. The knife is as sharp as it is beautiful great edge and the perfect bevel this is now my go to multi purpose knife. It feels good in your hand, and makes quick work of fish, meats, vegetables and is perfect for delicate slicing This would be a great gift to anyone who cooks. I can't recommend this knife enough.
Just received and looks to be well made. Handle looks even better in person than in the pictures. Quick shipping and good communication from seller.
First thing to be said about this knife -- it is SHARP, like S H A R P sharp. I did see another review from 2020 which said it came dull, perhaps they have corrected that now but I have to tell you I could shave with this thing.I'm no sushi chef, but I feel like I could be with this blade it is so sharp. (okay, I'll stop repeating myself).I also like the design, it's very nice to look at. And it is well balanced: It feels great in my hand, I have full control of it.I've only used it a few times, but I am quite impressed.
This is a very fancy looking knife. It comes in a really nice box too. It would make a good gift for any cook.
First, my only real grouse about the knife: It tries to make you think it's from Japan. It isn't. Like nearly everything these days, it's made in China. In this case, it seems to be pretty well made, and the materials and workmanship appear to be good, but it is neither as inherently sharp as I'd hoped nor as polished on the flanks as I'd like. Both of these are attributes I can correct, and I feel that the materials are good enough to make it worthwhile to add the handcrafting work to finish the job of moving this from "very good" to "excellent". For most users, it's going to be plenty good just as it is, and my preferred sharpening techniques might not produce a result that is as useful for them as what it arrives with; I create edges that are thinner and at a sharper angle, and those are necessarily easier to damage. Unless you're super-cautious with such a blade, it's annoyingly easy to have things go wrong. The sharpening provided from the factory is a very good compromise between durability and surgical edges, and you'll probably find it more than merely acceptable. And the blade and handle angles are perfect; cutting and chopping things is a breeze, more so than with the traditional European-pattern chef's knife in my opinion.
