Fine mesh cone strainer is excellent! The other two pieces are strainers are also really good and written well. I expect them to hold up under normal use. Will update if there are any issues when run thru dishwasher. They hand wash well.
For months I have just been making drinks in my shaker and using just the holes on the top. Depending on what I was making, they get pugged up, and I am always banging it on the bar! So when I saw these, I was like problem solved!! These strainers have been a game-changer!! They all work fantastically! Now I can make all kinds of drinks, and not have to worry about berry seeds or unwanted pulp in my drinks! They fit my glasses and shaker perfectly! Making good drinks is fun again!
My spouse and I start every day with a cup of coffee on the back porch and end each day with a cocktail in the same location. I am now expanding my bartending knowledge since I have new tools to use. The right tools for the job is always a good thing.Good:• Essential tools to make the perfect cocktail.• Good quality.• Easy to clean.• Includes instructions on just how to use each strainer.Not so good:• Construction relies on spot welding. Time will tell how this holds up. So far, no issues.Final thoughts:• I had some of these tools but I wasn’t aware of how they were to be used. I learned a few things and got better at a few more.
Unless you are super snobby about your bar utensils this will more than meet your needs. He tried him has a nice way to it and if you’re someone who just makes the occasional cocktail, there’s a nice little booklet included with it. I think that for the quality of the items that asking price on this is fair. Everything works as it’s designed. When was these day to clean and store away for the next juice. Overall, I’m satisfied.
This is a useful set of cocktail strainers made of corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel. The set contains three specialty strainers; a Julep Strainer, a Hawthorne Strainer, and a small, Fine Mesh Strainer. They are each perfectly functional but certainly not the highest quality. The kit also contains an instruction booklet with usage tips. The strainers are dishwasher safe but I usually just rinse them with warm water.I don’t drink often, so bar tools aren’t something I thought I would ever need. I ordered this set because my son is a bartender for a trendy restaurant and mixing drinks is something we can do together when he visits. He gave me his stamp of approval when I showed him my new set of strainers. He has shared many drink recipes along with the techniques to make them. And it’s much easier crafting signature cocktails when you have the proper tools (and professional guidance). Do I need professional-grade bar tools? Definitely not. But this set is perfect for my needs for an occasional mixology lesson. This is a decent quality set of bar strainers and I am enjoying using them.
These kinds of bar tools seem to be the exact same whether you buy more expensive ones or cheaper ones. So I say go for less expensive set like this one.
This is a good value set of Cocktail Strainers. Each item will get the job done just as well as what you might pay for just one of these items. Like that they are crafted of Stainless Steel.The handle on the Hawthorne Strainer is nice and flat and not too long, which makes it easy to handle.The Julep strainer has a good weight to it. You can see the 'rivets or attaching screws ?? where the handle is attached to the strainer. These would not be visible on a top level Julep strainer. (See pic).But you know what? This Julep strainer works just as good as an expensive one.What makes this extra worth the cost is that this set includes an attractive information pocket card that describes how each tool can be used and what drinks it is best for. It is a nice touch!
