Favorite mandoline slicer I've ever used. Cuts fast and well without gumming all up in the blade. Great for cutting at different sizes and types of cuts, from fries to scalloped potatoes. Quick to use and clean too!
This works very well however it takes a while to figure out and the instructions are poor. Don’t try this for fist time if you are in a hurry . Would rate higher if better instructions
Easy to assemble, easy to clean.Chops and shreds with ease the feed shoot makes it easy, and the hopper makes it cleaner than others with minimal mess.
I’ve never had one of these kitchen gadgets. Right now I’m just basically playing with it and learning how to use it. It’s pretty easy to use. My husband likes that apples can be thinly sliced. It seems to be pretty safe to use. I think it will work pretty well for cutting veggies for stir-frying.
It works pretty well but it takes forever to manually cut even half a cucumber. I recommend getting something more automated that wouldn’t require 5 minutes of twisting your wrist.
Perfect easy to assemble and useful
I do not like prep work when I cook, so I wanted to get a mandoline to save time. This mandoline slices, cuts strips, and chops. It is easy to assemble, and the sliding part pushes inside, and it collapses flat for easy storage. To change what I want to cut, I can choose different thicknesses when I slice using a rotating knob that shows how many millimeters to slice. Then there are two knobs to raise or lower the teeth - one knob for wide slices, and both knobs for thin slices. The latter will slice about 3 mm thick. When I want to dice, I would slice the food first, then use the teeth to slide and chop the slices.I used the mandoline on various foods, and the unit performs well. The slicer and the teeth are sharp, and I can make french fries by slicing potatoes. The food chute is bit enough to hold a good amount of food including large potatoes. (This saves time from cutting food first to fit the chute.) The unit is strong enough to slide hard foods like carrots. It does leave a bit of stray pieces which I have to dig out, but it's to be expected. It is fairly easy to slice or make strips by pressing down the main slicer piece. The unit disassembles easily, and it's not too difficult to wash. Even though it says it's dishwasher safe, I don't like washing sharp metal pieces in the dishwasher, and the directions also say not to use the drying function in the washer. I ended up hand washing the different pieces, which is not bad. A small brush is also included in the package. The price is reasonable for the time savings tool and the flexibility.
