Definitely add to your Yerba Mate collection

I recently decided to add Yerba Mate to my caffeine options after decades not having had it, so I picked up three different sizes of the gourd, and each came with one or two bombilla (at least one spoon style, as these are).With these comparisons in mind, I will say that I am glad I picked these up right at the beginning. Now that I have tried them across the three sizes of gourd and the bombilla that came with those, I have these observations:- These have a bit more heft to them, they just feel a bit heavier and they are a bit larger than the bombilla that were included (and these are slightly larger than the largest included bombilla).- These look cool, a bit more stylish, and appear to be a bit easier to maintain. These are constructed for regular use with some flair, I think.- They still get hot, but I think there is just more surface area to dissipate the heat, though I have also lowered my brew temperature from 80C to 70C (that would be 176F down to 158F) which also helps. The spoon end is also a bit larger which I think just makes the whole thing a bit more stable and more effective at drawing in the tea.Nothing particularly problematic with the bombilla included with my newbie acquisitions as I commenced my Yerba Mate journey, but I am glad I also got these, they are a great value from what I have seen thus far and have made these early days tuning my brewing method and the overall consumption of the tea a notch or two higher than otherwise. Definitely recommend these if you are early in your Yerba Mate career (from what I have seen in some HowTo videos, a selection of bombilla is not uncommon, start with these perhaps)

These are so fancy!

I feel so fancy using these. The design is really pretty and they feel like they're made of high quality material. These straws are functional and easy to use. The taste of the tea isn't changed much by the metal of the straw. Honestly these are really nice and I would recommend them. I also like that they're easy to take apart to clean. I wish the top part could also come off to clean that but at least the bottom does.

The LayaVilla set of three stainless steel straws for Yerba mate, matcha, loose leaf tea and other such drinks are not only very functional and solve a need, but they are BEAUTIFUL while doing so!!! I love the 'bead' in the joint/grip that adds that decorative flair and the gentle slope of the mouthpiece for a more natural sip instead of a round straw - then the combination spoon/filter is just GENIUS! Then being that they are able to be fully disassembled for easy cleaning is icing on the cake. They arrived individually packaged in case you want to only use one at a time or keep one for yourself and share the others - but these are absolutely a no brainer purchase and a quality product that you will value for years to come.
