Great for skimming skum from the surface of lotus plant water
Such an appealing sounding headline lol, but quite true. I'm tinkering with a bunch of lotus, having planted them in separate containers of water and trying different things with each to see what works for me/is the most successful.Throughout the course of my experimentation, some containers have produced scum - for the lack of a better word - on the water surface that hinders light from getting through/photosynthesis. It's quite unpleasant and inconvenient to remove this by hand without messing with the young plant too much.I saw these and thought 'ah, PERFECT!'I thought having three would last me a good while for when 1 inevitably breaks or rusts, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that these...they're actually pretty decent quality! They could bend, but aren't easily bendable. The handle is just long enough, IMO well proportioned to the small size of the siege. The metal mesh is...mesh. It's small enough for most things and perfect for my needs.I can probably do with just one and use one for cooking when breaking out the big boy sieve isn't practical, and the remaining one for my fun arts and crafts projects (disasters).$10 for 3 seems like a pretty good deal.
