I like to repackage food items in order to prevent insects being attracted to them in my pantry. After purchasing a 20 lb. bag of rice I needed some containers to store the rice in because said bag of rice is difficult to handle, and plastic bags can get torn. These plastic jars are wonderful because they are far more easily handled than an entire 20 lb. bag. Also, the jars fit well on the pantry shelf. Sometimes I have more vertical space than horizontal space. Each of these jars holds about 5 lbs. of rice. These jars stack on top of each other just sort of well. As far as sturdiness is concerned I am not sure how well a fully loaded jar would fare if dropped from a 3 foot or so height onto concrete. I am quite happy with this purchase, and would definitely purchase again.
Nice solid containers. Not flimsy. Easy to hold. Top seals well.
These canisters are very useful. The gallon I use for cereals, sugar and flours. The smaller one's for grains, pastas, nuts, candy, etc. I have 6 of the gallon ones and probably 20 of the smaller ones. I store everything in containers, not original packages.
Not such a good deal per price. These are made from a thin plastic, think soda bottle. The lids are not air tight and they just all around left a lot to be desired. These are like the containers you get pretzels or cheese balls in. At roughly $8/each, I feel like I was robbed. Just buy the big thing of pretzels and re-use the container. Atleast then you get a snack.
I use these to mix bulk batches of brownies, cornbread and soup starter. They are awesome!
These were bought for special, healthy dog food toppings. (Yes, there is such a thing, and, yes, our dogs eat better than we do.)🙂 They are easy to get your hand around and lift off the counter even when full. They wash up well in the sink and we air dry them. Lids go on easily and remain tight.
