Bought 2 of the cute wooden trays to fit on my coffee table shelf. Added felt along the bottom frames of each tray. They now slide easily & hold my "stuff" perfectly - plus it keeps things off the table top. Exactly what I was looking for.
This set of three trays is made of acacia wood, which has a lot of variety in color to the point where if you put the three shelves next to each other on a shelf, they do not match and do not look like they belong to the same set. One of them was completely dark wood on the edge another one completely light. Another one has a stripe on one of the boards. This might be fine if you’re planning on using them separately. This isn’t necessarily a flaw, but it is something to note. Two of the three trays that I got had bottom panels that are loose and slide around quite a bit. If the bottom panel slides to one side and you put something heavy on it like a cup of coffee, the middle of the tray will bow downwards. As described in the description, these trays are not finished with anything, but I expected the cut around the handles to be smoother. They are not comfortable to carry; they kind of dig into your hands. The other trays I got from this company are wonderful. They were made of bamboo. They are nicely finished with comfortable rounded handles and none of those trays are broken. I may keep these just because they are the right size for the shelves I need them for, but I will need to glue the wood back into place and sand them, especially around the handles. I will be asking for a partial refund due to the damage, and I will update this review if the matter is resolved.
Very cheaply made. I had to glue the bottom in order for it to stay together.
Mine arrived today. Very well made. No smell. The wood is wonderful. I'm glad I bought these. You won't be disappointed
