A bit thin... but could be a good addition to your kitchen knife set.

First thing I noticed was how light they were. On the 2 smaller blades the thickness is okay... but I would want the largest cleaver style to be about 2 - 3 times as thick. (with a steeper micro bevel angle) the big holes in the blade... i don't see why they are there...I really like the smallest knife with that nice curve to the whole cutting edge. Great for cutting up vegetables and stuff.The steel itself. Mystery stainless...I'm never a fan of that.They came with almost an edge... took a lot of honing to finish off the micro bevel. I hate that about stainless steel.I do have another issue with these knives. The wooden handle. Wooden handles have a built in time delay, self destruct mechanism. Liquid seeps in behind the wooden scales. Holds that moisture against the steel. And takes too long to dry, to not rot the wood over time. They rot from the inside out. Than if you go to use the knife before it completly drys... imagine your going to cut something. And as you lower the tip of the knife. This liquid runs out down the blade onto your food. That's (i just sat in the sink for 2 days soaking up every scrap of bacteria) that's rot. mold. Gunk. Poison... in essence. So yea... be wary of wooden handles.All that said though... its 3 knives that well... at least 2 of them... I know can get the job done. I still dont know what i would do with such a thin cleaver. But...all for under 50 bucks. I give this set 3 stars.
