Like high end knives, but way cheaper

I got these knives for a wedding gift and after the couple had settled in a couple of months I called to ask how they were. They absolutely love them. They said they are made extremely well and feel comfortable and balance in the hand. They are very sharp, cutting through stuff with little effort. They mentioned that the Nakiri knife is bigger than others, but doesn't feel heavy at all. For the price you can't beat this set. The higher end brand name chef's knives can be 5-10 times higher that this complete set which makes these a bargain!

Terrific Basic Knife Set

This knife set has a good long chef's knife, a flat Asian style knife and small utility knife. Each one is well balanced, the metal and handles are very pretty and they are very sharp as the goof knives are meant to be. You could take up cooking with just this set and do well with it until you wish to add to uour repertoire. The chef's knife is sharp from tip to base and it works for most chopping, slicing a dicing. The flat knife does everything from splitting a watermelon to milling herbs and nuts, or precisely chopping a head of cabbage.

Quality and performance exceed the cost.

Based on the build, quality, performance, value and versatility this 3-Pieces Knife set provides it is very easy to give these knives the highest rating.I chose these because I prefer Japanese style cooking knives and my particular favorite in the kitchen which may come as a surprise to some that it's also the most used is a nakiri but all three in this set perfectly cover all of my food preparation needs.Full tang in design, rather low steel hardness which has both pros and cons and the same can be said with different blade steels. While I have had sharper out of the box these were really easy to quickly touch up and to the 12 - 14 degree edges. Easy to grip well attached riveted contoured handles, good balance and great overall blade profile make these look much more expensive than they are and perform very well for this price range.

Above average knife set

Overall, this 3 piece knife set will suit most people's needs in the kitchen. It comes packaged very nicely and the knives themselves are attractive. Out of the box, they are fairly sharp and feel good in the hand. The knives look high end and most people would think they are more expensive than they really are.The only issue I have is that they are fairly thin compared to my higher end knives. I don't think this will effect the sturdiness but it was a noticeable difference.Overall, a nice beginner knife set that should last a while.
