Surprisingly useful

I wasn't sure how useful this set would be but I have to say as a person who loves pasta salad, it's incredibly useful. The perforated top works out really well to drain things and since I'm paranoid about washing everything for my salads, I often end up with water at the bottom of the bowl which dilutes the dressing. But now, even if things I put into the bowl are wet, I just pop on the perforated lid before I add the dressing and give it a few shakes to get rid of any remaining water. It works out really well. After I shake out the water, I add any dressing or seasoning and am good to go. There is also a regular lid that I can use when I put the bowl in the refrigerator and this may sound weird, but I like the flat top because I can stack other things on top of it. Because let's face it, the refrigerator is full so anything that lets me stack other stuff on top is great.Another way I use this is for marinades. I use the regular top while whatever it is I'm marinating sits in the refrigerator and then, when I'm ready to cook it, I slip on the perforated lid to drain it and again, it's good to go. So this has turned out to be a lot more useful than I originally thought.

First thing I like about it is that it is made of stainless steel. So that means it is long lasting. It is a three piece set and it is stackable so it space saving. The set contains three pieces; a bowl, a solid tray and a tray that can be used as a strainer. I use the set for straining noodles, steaming vegetables, and as a salad prep and other uses. It makes preparing food so much easier and it’s time saving. It’s easy to clean and it’s dishwasher safe also. I am so happy that I got this and so happy with it. I recommend this to anyone that wants to save time in the kitchen and that wants to have a set of utensils that can be used for more than one thing. I like most of it.

For me, it's a bit confusing what the original purpose for the solid top/tray is for... I understand the bowl, I understand the strainer lid (but wish it went a bit deeper into the bowl) but I don't get the second 'lid'... it doesn't stay tightly in place so you can't seal up leftovers or a salad in it. It just seems like they decided to throw a steel serving platter on top.Very nice bowl though. High quality steel

Super durable and even the strainer is quality!+ I like how small the strainer holes are! Perfect for washing and straining quinoa! But this is so useful for washing veggies and with the lid is great for storage!+ I like the size of this! This is easy to store especially because the strainer and lid fit well on top!+ easy to clean and goes in the dishwasher!All that said I dropped a star for the price…even though I like this and it is a quality bowl/strainer set, this may be a bit too pricey for one bowl with a strainer and lid! But if your budget allows, nice useful tool!
