Those lights use LEDs. It took me exactly five minutes to put up the stand, which was a snap to set up from start to finish. My beloved cupcakes would not be in danger of falling over throughout the celebration since the tiers snapped into place firmly, giving me the assurance that they would not be damaged in any way. Screws were too small to fit the predrilled holes. Also screw driver was for a flathead instead of a Phillips. I could have used a screw drivers I already own, but hope the seller sees this and fixes what’s in the package. It looks like it would be a cute display.

Cute! Take the blue protectant layer off.
It was really cute and went together easily. Make sure that you take off the blue film that protects the iridescent layer when you get it. Also, try to keep it out of the heat as much as possible; I think leaving the package in the Florida sun bubbled the iridescent layer a little. You couldn't see that once the cupcakes were on though. For reference, these are standard size cupcakes in the picture (from Publix). It held more than I expected.

misleading description
first of all my mistake , I should have figured it out by the size that it would be mini cupcakes not full size cupcakes , but one color that the lights have I would not call colorful , means different colors , even showed different colored lights in the picture ,the screws were to small for the pre drilled holes ,and even the screw driver suppled was a regular not Phillips that the screws were ,over all I would never buy again and word of mouth is the satisfaction for me to all my friend is product is trash,
