This bowl is great for rinsing rice. We use basmati and even though a few do get through the holes, they are too few to mention. It's one of those things that you wonder why you didn't get one long ago. I would recommend

Great product!I started making Greek Yogurt a short while ago and was struggling to find a strainer.I'd bought a different product first and it was a great system but the strainer that came with it took forever to clean and I was really unhappy with it.My solution was to try this strainer and place it in the other bowl to drain my yogurt.I added a paper towel to the strainer in order to filter out the yogurt better.It helped to make an absolutely perfect greek yogurt and it was a breeze to clean up afterwards.It's now part of my perfect system and I'll use it for every batch in the future!
A great buy! Very sturdy set. I have not used it yet for the purpose I bought it for but I'm sure it will hold up well and give years of use. I'm going to buy the larger size up and have a complete set for cleaning fruit and veggies but especially for the rice.
Update:The customer service is great, solve my problem smoothly, would love to buy again.Received my 3.5 qt bowl with couple of dents, . The original box was gone so I can not return or replace it, very disappointing.
I'm so happy I finally bought this. It's so easy to use, I literally use if for everything; washing fruit and veggies, rinsing rice, marinating meats, defrosting something frozen. The rice doesn't fall thru the holes but drains the water quickly and easily. It's so easy to clean and the quality it sturdy. Such a great a size too, not to big or to small. It works for everything.
