Sturdy stainless steel metal

I am interested in using food-grade stainless steel for freezing my food, so I wanted to try out these containers.See my video. The lid was frozen onto the container and I had to pry it off with a knife (it didn't have a handle to pull on). Then I could not get the food out. I had to rinse the container in hot water and let the food sit for 10 minutes before the food blocks would pop out. These comments are not intended to reflect badly on the product, just to say that if you are going to use it to freeze food, you will have to do some extra work to get the food out.The quality of the stainless steel and the plastic lid seems good. I could not twist the steel container when I tried to get the food out (which means it is a strong container). I recommend these containers.

Small lightweight stainless snack box

Amazon invited me to review this as part of the Vine program. This is a stainless snack two compartment snack tray with a press-fit plastic lid with an integrated silicone seal. The button on the lid releases to provide a vent hole and the dial on the top has a pointer and indicators for the days of the month.With these thin stamped stainless pieces the edge is crimped under around the top. The biggest challenge seems to be getting a good crimp, especially at the corners, that does not leave sharp edges that are rough to touch. The one I received has this challenge. It might be possible to use a strong pair of pliers with tape on the jaws (to avoid leaving scratches) to improve the crimp.I find it interesting that these trays are considered to be microwave safe. I am one of those who has grown up avoiding any metal in the microwave.

Too small to be useful for much

The images in the listing for this steel lunch snack box show a sandwich, a salad, and other serving suggestions. This box is too small for most items you'd want to bring to a lunch. A standard slice of bread is too large to fit in the compartments, so a sandwich is out, and any salad you'd bring would be so small as to hardly be worth it. You could carry a small amount of cookies or pretzels, but you don't need a nice steel container for that kind of snack.There is a dial on the lid which appears to be for putting a date on the items. But it's so loose, it would be easy to accidentally move the dial, making it kind of useless. It's also very hard to read the numbers.There's a vent on the lid, but I don't know why this would be useful, as you can't microwave the box.Overpriced for something not very useful.
