This is a perfectly satisfactory baster. It works like basters do. I like the stainless steel because it can go in the dishwasher and that makes cleaning easy. The metal does conduct heat, though. So exercise reasonable caution when using it on hot liquids.

Love the fact that the baster is made of stainless steel. It will last much longer than the typical plastic type. Also the needle nose attachment is especially helpful for preventing leakage when basting.
I'm so glad I bought the stainless steel baster. No stains, no odors, and I don't have to worry of it rolls of the counter or stove and hits the floor. Rinse it and go on . No breakage! The bulb is soft and easy to use and easy to put back together . I love it.

I’ve been looking for a high quality baster and I finally found one. It’s sturdy with good suction. And the best part it’s easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
It suctions up the juices and fat great, but does spill out some as you transfer it to another container.After a little bit the heat expands the silicone top, so then the tube portion starts to go up into the bulb or falls off easily. It's kind of a pain in the butt to dig it out of my taco meat because it fell in.Easy to clean as I separate the two pieces (by this time it usually already has separated) and toss them into the top rack of the dishwasher.
