Great COMPLETE Woozy Bottle Set
I recently developed a line of hot sauces for sale to the public at craft shows, to compliment other items we well there, and I was in need of 5 ounce Woozy bottles. I looked around and while I was able to buy the BOTTLES for a lower price per 12 pack, these did NOT include caps, drip reducers, labels or shrink capsules.I ordered these through Amazon and I was pleasantly surprised with everything I got. All of this was in the package:36 bottles37 Drip Reducers36 Red Shrink Capsules, that shrink IMMEDIATELY upon contact with boiling water or heat.36 Red caps5 sheets of 9 labels that can be designed to show off the love. The bottles arrived in an Overpack box. Once I opened the box, there were two inner pack boxes of 18 each. Inside each inner pack box, the bottles were packed with the drip reducers and caps attached and the shrink capsules in place but NOT shrunk onto each bottle. Also, there is paperwork in the box in a clear plastic bag that has full directions plus the sheets of labels.I pulled each bottle out. NO broken bottles. I checked each bottle for deformities in the bottle. NOTHING but smooth glass. I then checked each bottle for leaks. NO pinhole leaks or any other kind either. Following this I proceed to sterilize the bottles in boiling water for two minutes then pulled them out and let them cool down.No defects or exploding bottles from the hot water. I then proceeded to make up a small sample batch of my mild green sauce and filled the bottles. After tightening the caps on, I slipped a shrink capsule over it, and using boiling water, turned the bottle upside down and and you can see the results in the last picture. The shrink capsules have a clearly defined pull tab for opening the bottles. If you are going to use the boiling water shrink method, this is how I recommend you do it:1. Place the shrink capsule on the bottle and push it down until the capsule is seated against the cap.2. Place your finger on the capsule at the shoulder end (bottom) and dunk JUST the cap. This will shrink the capsule to the cap and hold the capsule in place.3. Move your finger onto the exposed glass (which will not have heated up) and dunk the bottle to the shoulder so that the whole capsule is now shrunk. Total time to completely shrink the capsule? About 2.5 seconds.Since I am working in small quantities, this method works best for me. For larger quantities, you may wish to try a hair dryer or a heat gun and turn and rotate the bottle or the heat source until it shrinks up tight. The labels included are 2.5 inch Arch labels and you can download the template from the company's website. Directions are included on the paperwork in the box.Since I get everything I need in one package, AND free shipping, the cost was more than comparable to buying the bottles, caps, reducers, capsules and labels separately, which I have to do to set up complete sets AND then paying $25 or more for shipping. Until I get to the size that I am producing 5,000 bottles a month, (which is NOT my goal right now) this is the best way for me to go.Definitely rated 5 stars and a 2 thumbs up buy!DDD
