Interesting

My daughter had one of these - she loved it! So, I decided to order one. Operating the whole swivel strainer/bowl thing is going to take some practice but I'll get the hang of it. I have not yet used the grater-slicers etc. options. I do know my daughter used her slicer once, and then it didn't work anymore so I am not really planning to depend on it.It cleaned up easily but I just had brussel sprouts in it so that isn't a huge cleanup anyway. I can see it would be very handy for fruit in the summer. I like the snap on lid because I normally marinate my vegetables before cooking them, made it a breeze to toss them without getting them all over the kitchen.

Handy kitchen tool

So far so good. Just what I needed to soak fruits and veggies in produce cleaner before consuming. Works just as advertised. Just make sure you have the rotating collander securely snapped down; it did come out when I had particiarly heavy apples in it and went to strain. Have not utilized the cutting blades but love the addition of them. Great purchase!

Handy kitchen aid

I LOVE how convenient and versatile this colander is! You can use it to clean and wash salad ingredients in a water and vinegar solution in the nice big bowl and just left out the colander section to shake off the water. You can strain a pot of boiling vegetables right into the bowl and the hot food can be lifted out for final prep. What's good is that you can add cold water to the boiling in the bowl, so lifting the hot water to pour into the sink, is not as dangerous as pouring a heavy pot of boiling water. I'm impressed.
