Lovely large kettle and nice quality build!

If you're looking for a nice large kettle, this is the one for you! Normal size coffee mug for scale in photo. We're avid hot beverage and tea drinkers and finally found one that makes a decent amount of boiled water for our family. The steel is excellent grade, the whistle is not a screech but a tuneful and high note. The spout is placed high so the kettle does not boil over through the spout which is a *major important design* (and I'll only buy kettles with this design). The handle gets slightly warm but not hot *at all* and the mechanism to pop up the spout works well. The base is wide for our gas flame so the flame does not overlap the edge of the bottom of the kettle and discolour it. Very happy with this purchase. Oh, and it looks rather majestic too! 😄

Big whistle - big coffee

This kettle is huge! So big! Morning coffee with friends has never been easier. One giant pot of water, 2 large French presses, and we are good to caffeinate everyone in camp! We cannot neglect to mention the whistle - so great! It’s like a siren call to the caffeine deprived. So good! If we could give it 10 out of 5 stars we would!

Big and sturdy — great for daily boilers

This kettle is huge—easily makes enough hot water for a group. The whistle is loud enough to hear from another room, and the stainless steel body feels durable and looks nice on the stovetop.I like the cool-touch handle, though it can still get a little warm after a long boil. The lid fits snugly, and it works well on my gas stove.Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that it takes a bit to heat up when it’s full, but that’s expected with 5L. Overall, great quality for the price.

Very happy with it

I make coffee by boiling water in the kettle every day so I use my kettle a lot.I’ve had this one for about two weeks now, and I love it! It’s a little bigger than the old one (and most of the ones I see at my local wlmrt). Can’t wait to make a big pitcher of iced tea.The handle moves so it’s easy to fill up from the sink. (It only moves one way, but it still is way better than if it didn’t move at all).I find it heats up pretty quick. The whistle is quite loud. I heard it from outside the other day….however, if you don’t make sure the top is well sealed a little steam escapes and it’s whistle is much softer.Another review mentioned that it felt flimsy or too thin…it is fairly lightweight and I can understand that criticism. I don’t find that it feels “cheep”, just lightweight and I quite like it.

Bad design leads to rusting and metal smut within 2 uses!

Horrible design and manufacturing. Only used it twice and I can see microscopic rust particles on the outside surface from water droplets that dried on the surface; similar to what people have seen on the Cybertruck’s body panels. Biggest issue by far is where the bottom panel that touches the stove meets the round side panel. The bottom panel seems to have been rounded around the side panel at where they meet. Leading to a super tiny pocket lower than the other parts of the bottom panel (as it’s going around the side panel to provide that rounded bottom edge on the outside) where water can build up as the droplets left over after use slowly drip down. About 1-2 minutes after first letting all the water out, you have to drain the water out a second time from the tiny pocket unless you want rust building up after a couple of uses in that tiny pocket that lends itself to accelerated rusting. I’ve started to leave it open lying on its side to hopefully minimize that tiny pocket rusting. After about 2 weeks I also am having issues with the lid retaining water in the underside seams and having metal smut left over from manufacturing/polishing starting to come off of when I wipe it after use. Overall horrible design that lends it self to major problems.
