Converted my sourdough from round to rectangle.
Happy I bought this! I researched all of the oval and rectangular dutch ovens and settled on this one. I made the right choice. I moved my sourdough recipe from my round 4-quart Staub over to this one and it was a perfect match. The bread was the right size in this dutch oven and baked perfectly. I just made my first loaf in this oven last night. I would have included a photo, but the bread is gone - everyone loved it. I got the teal. The color is rich and saturated, maybe even slightly ombre. The oven is heavy, as expected. Excellent quality.

Great bread
My wife is obsessed with baking bread in her Dutch oven, and I'm more than happy to enjoy.It's a pretty simple kitchen tool. It came in a box with a recipe list and the Dutch oven itself, but not much more.The color is vibrant and fun, and it's heavy and well made. The lid has handles on both ends, requiring two hands to handle. That may be one gripe, I would rather have had a single handle center mounted to allow for one handed operation.The recipe booklet we ultimately decided to discard. The ingredients didn't match the instructions, and there were too many inconsistencies. It's like it was written in another language and roughly translated with nobody there to verify what got lost in translation.With a good recipe, I can tell you that it makes a really nice loaf of bread. We've had some real winners with a nice crusty outer shell and soft and fluffy insides, cooked evenly and delicious!Despite a few minor gripes (handle and recipe book), the oven itself is a winner, and comes highly recommended by a baker and a bread eater!

Love it! Sourdough came out soft and crispy
Hey gang we read reviews about the enamel for a lot of these pans needing extra steps to clean in beginning to get if coating etc.We opted to exclusively use this for sourdough and NOT anything acidic that could deteriorate or degrade the lining.With that option for safety for ourselves this is a great deal for around $70 for something that makes a perfect loaf for a fam of 3-4. We prefer SD and we use it for everything from French toast, buttered toast, sandwiches, burger buns, avacado toast list goes on.For the SD it turns out nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.Still hardens over time and we toast/airfry all the time also.Please investigate how to clean and protect your pan if it’s not a US made brand as some countries of origin, I believe this one being China, may use different levels of enamel etc.Literally there is a warning using acidic juicy things vs just bread.Hope this helps
