Excellent, replacements--superior to the originals
I have nothing but good things to say about these. They're an easy 5-star review and I highly recommend them.The glass Pyrex and anchor hocking bowls are a staple in my kitchen as we no longer use any type of plastic bowl for storage--especially anything hot. The problem with both brands is the lids, which start out fine but inevitably crack prematurely and become unusable. The bowls will pretty much last forever but the lids, frankly, suck. So...we're always in search of good replacement lids. I've never had any interest in throwing more money at the same problematic name-brand lids, so when I found these silicone replacements, I was excited to give them a try.They didn't disappoint! They are soft, very flexible and fit both the Pyrex and Anchor Hocking 4-cup bowls perfectly. You do have to stretch them a little bit to get them in place, but to me, that's a good thing. They create an excellent seal--far better than the originals ever did. I even tried them out with a soup inside that was still pretty hot when I put it into the fridge. Placing a hot bowl into a cold environment creates a suction effect, which will sometimes prove too much for a rigid lid. With this one, even though the lid ended up very convex, it stayed in place perfectly. I was quite impressed.The colors are also nice--again, superior to the originals in my opinion. They're bright, bold, and attractive. I know these will last a long time as well because they’re made of silicone. Silicone is an ideal material for many kitchen products. It is safe, extremely heat resistant and very durable.The holders aren't something I'm ever going to ned because they take up too much space for my uses. But, I guess it's nice they're included anyway.So, zero complaints whatsoever with these. I highly recommend them!
