Simple, effective, jar lever
This is a pretty simple device that attaches to jar lids pretty easily, providing a long handle to allow for good leverage to more easily remove lids.The opener fits a good variety of lids, and attaches pretty well by holding it in place with one hand, and then turning the dial on top until it clamps down on the lid. Once attached, you still need to get a pretty good grip on the jar itself, but then can more easily remove the lid by pulling on the handle, which is easier than trying to grip and twist the jar lid.The device is simple and effective. It's only downside is that it is quite large and bulky to store, but there isn't really a way it could be smaller and still fit large lids, and provide a long enough handle for good leverage. I have seen similar devices that are smaller by using a twisty handle on top to open jars, but I doubt that would be as easy as using leverage with a long handle.This would be a five start product, but I feel $19.99 is a bit expensive for something this simple and made of just plastic. The bottle opener isn't great and could be left off and the product would be better as an inexpensive but useful item if it were in the $10-$12 range.

Gets the job done, easily.
This opener is a great way to get the lids off of stubbornly air tight jars off. You do not need a great deal of force or strength to open a jar using this handy device. And when you are done, this opener fits easily in a drawer out of the way until the next time it is needed.You can also use the other end of this opener for bottle caps. The same location as the bottle cap opener has a smaller round tool with grabbing teeth. And a similar slightly smaller one in the middle. These can be used mostly for twist off plastic caps.Bottom line, it works as it says it will. And takes the frustration of opening things out of the equation.

I guess given for the price, this shouldn't be too surprising.One thing to be aware of: the gripping teeth are very sharp.
