The travertine coasters are exactly what I would expect. They have a good weight to them, they are a nice sandstone/beige color and large enough to hold larger water bottles or glasses. To my surprise, they also had cork on the bottom to protect the table/counter. They work as expected and I have no complaints.I paid $29.99 and at review time, they dropped to $24.99. I would say that the review price is a good price and worth getting.

These travertine coasters are simple, functional, and well made. The natural stone has a clean, neutral look that works well in just about any room, and each coaster has slightly different markings, which gives them a nice, natural feel rather than looking mass-produced.They don't absorb as much as our original "thirsty stones". But they absorb condensation effectively enough and protect the surface underneath from both moisture and scratches.They fit perfectly in the holder (not included) that we had.They’re not flashy, but they don’t need to be. Coasters work great
These are great! My sister in law won't use any coasters but these, so I thought I would try them out. They look great, would fit in nearly every decor with ease. I have one on my bedside table because I like to keep water or some beverage there at night, but the table top is wood and I didn't want to get rings. I've been using this and it *is* absorbent. They're fairly heavy - they are stone, so of course - but not difficult to move around. I like the little additional weight because they don't move easily once they're placed, and they don't stick to the bottom of the beverage container when the container gets damp with condensation. Definitely a highly-recommend, especially if you're looking for a gift for someone who is difficult to buy for. They'd make a great hostess gift too!

These are about perfect. The stone is attractive, they are nicely and neatly made, and the cork base prevents scratching. Even the packaging was excellent and protective. I can't find anything to complain about. I recommend these to anyone look for this type of coaster.
