Nice, but plastic wrap is frustrating to remove

I recently purchased the 4-Pack 15.7" x 11.8" Large Silver Serving Trays Set, and I have mixed feelings about them. On the one hand, they're nice-looking and feel heavy enough for light duty. The oval floral engraved design looks nice, and my wife says it adds a touch of elegance to our gatherings.However, one major drawback is the plastic film that covers them. It's incredibly difficult to remove, especially in the areas with 2D relief detail. I spent way too much time trying to get it off, and it was frustrating. On the flat surfaces, it's easy enough to peel off, but in the crevices, it's a real pain.Despite this, the trays have held up well during the few times we've used them. If not for the plastic overwrap, I'd highly recommend these serving trays. As it is, I'm giving a moderate recommendation with the caveat to buyers to be prepared to get a little frustrated at having to remove the plastic. And, honestly, I'm concerned about the potential for microplastics to get into food - it's already a concern online, and I don't want these trays to add to the problem.Overall, they're decent serving trays, but the packaging issue is a notable drawback. If the manufacturer could find a better way to package them, I'd be happy to give them a glowing review.

The plates look beautiful but they have some sort of plastic wrapping around them that is very difficult to get off especially around the engraving parts and even after scrubbing and scrubbing in the sink, I still would not put food on this and serve it to my friends or family for fear that they would be eating plastic.

Good deal for entertaining - requires some extra care

I always find myself in need of large platters when putting on birthday parties or hosting family and these looked like a nice option! They arrived packaged very well - almost too well to be honest. They come individually shrink wrapped in a really thin, kind of sticky plastic that was very tedious to remove. If you're getting these out for an event, leave yourself an extra 15-20 minutes to remove it from all the platters, and that's not an exaggeration. Pulling it off was time consuming since it stuck under the sides and to the details in the engraving. I still don't have it off from under all the rolled edges. But that did mean that the trays arrived in perfect mirror condition without any scratching. The finish is so smooth and shiny it looks like a mirror. You'll probably want to hand dry with a soft towel to maintain it since it will show water drops when dried. As far as sturdiness, it's genuine metal which is great but I do feel like they will have a tendency to dent and warp - the platters are relatively thin, kind of like a cheap pie tin. I already noticed at least one of the platters arrived with a curved edge. All that said, if you're able to find it on sale like it is now ($25), I think 4 platters that look this nice is an amazing deal and you'll find plenty of uses for them while entertaining!
