Heat retention during a meal

Wonderful for soupy and broth-y meals at home. Does a great job retaining heat too, for the duration of a meal.

NOT 40 oz.

Descriptions say 40 oz. Actual measured capacity is 35 oz. Also, before I ordered it I inquired about the manufacturer’s place of origin, and was told it was made in Korean. But it is actually made in China. Very light and flimsy compared to stainless steel bowls that are actually from South Korea. Returned.

Surprisingly high quality — versatile, durable, and look great too!

I bought these because my old ramen bowls kept cracking from hot soup and dishwasher heat, and I wanted something that could handle both hot and cold foods without worrying about chips or stains. These stainless steel bowls turned out so much better than I expected. The set includes four 7-inch, 40-ounce bowls and matching chopsticks, all neatly packed. Each bowl feels solid but not heavy — they have a nice balance in the hand. The double-wall insulation is the real star here. I can pour boiling broth or noodles right in, and the outside of the bowl stays completely cool to the touch. Same for cold foods — I’ve used them for fruit salad, cereal, and ice cream, and the contents stay cold longer without any condensation puddling underneath.I also love how easy they are to clean. Food doesn’t stick, even after something like cheesy ramen or oatmeal. They rinse clean with just a quick wash, and they don’t absorb smells the way plastic bowls do. I’ve put them through the dishwasher multiple times with no discoloration or warping — they still look brand new.The chopsticks are simple but well-made. They have a smooth, brushed finish with just enough grip that noodles don’t slip. They feel balanced and match the bowls nicely, so the set looks cohesive when serving guests. As far as design, the bowls have that classic Korean-style shape — wide and slightly shallow with curved sides. They stack beautifully in the cupboard without sticking or scratching each other. I like the minimalist silver look; it works whether I’m eating breakfast cereal or serving soup for company. They’re also incredibly versatile. I’ve used them for ramen, pho, soup, cereal, salad, and even as prep bowls for mixing sauces or holding chopped ingredients. The 40 oz size is ideal — roomy enough for a hearty serving, but not oversized or clunky. One small note: because the bowls are lightweight stainless steel, they can slide a bit if you’re stirring something aggressively on a slick surface. I just put a small towel or silicone mat underneath when needed, and it’s no problem.Overall, this set is an excellent value — durable, functional, and stylish. If you’re tired of fragile ceramic bowls or plastic that stains and warps, these are a fantastic upgrade. I use them almost every day.

Bowls nice, chopsticks not so much

I mainly got this for the chopsticks because I've never had steel ones. Bowls, sure, I'll always take more. The bowls I like. They're big, easy to hold. They're so wide open they're good for eating anything in, really. Pizza and other crumbly things at my desk is really convenient. The chopsticks on the other hand I have mixed feelings about. They're hollow, so feel rather cheap. This does make them lightweight and easier to use though. What makes me more nervous about them is that the tops were crimped and not welded (or at least not well-welded). There's some pockets where grease and food debris can get trapped.

Great size and durable!

These are so cute and hold a lot of food! They seem super durable and easy to wash! I like that the metal matches on both the bowl and chopsticks! These would be an amazing gift for a young kid in college as well! Or you could use them as a family for dinner time with or without the chopsticks!

Great value and multi-functionality

I love these bowls! My partner and I like to eat our lunch and dinner, and our Pho soup, from large bowls. These are almost as large as the ceramic ones we normally use, and are much more lightweight, insulated, and non-breakable. They are a great value for 4 insulated bowls! These bowls can be used as mixing bowls, for serving, for eating from, and for leftovers, (I use covers made from organic cotton infused with beeswax to cover these bowls for the fridge.) providing great functionality. Two weeks ago, I ate at a "Japanese" restaurant run by a Cambodian family, which served the Cambodian version of Vietnamese Pho. They served their soup in these bowls! They are easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.
