🚂 I Think I Can- The Little Glasses That Could...Get Me To Change My Drinking Habit
Welp, I like these glasses better than my new doctor right now.All my other doctors are pretty happy with me. But not this one 🤷🏼 And no, she’s not a nutritionist, but she informed me that my Coke Zero is off the table. Uh, I only have one or two a day. Still no. And apparently I can’t have Zero anything. Is she mad? Coffee is capped at 10 oz, and my usual flavored bubbly water is out too because of artificial flavoring 👀 Are you kidding me? Geez - somebody had a bad day.So… I was stumped. Then she said, “Water.” 😲 Oh no she didn’t!She did say I could infuse it with fruit. Oh goody! And I guess you want me to scale Mt. Everest too?Ugh. Fine. I’ll climb a mountain - because that’s what it’s gonna feel like. That’s how I ended up with these glasses. I’ve been using bottles and cans for ages, and I needed something better than a plain glass. And wow, drinking glasses sure have come a long way. The double-wall design keeps my hands dry and non-slippery, which is a bigger deal than it sounds. No condensation, no cold hands, no rings on the table. The bamboo lids look good and give my glass a surprisingly classy appeal for something as basic as water. The glass straws are nice… but definitely not for me. That’s one accident I don’t need in my life. Thankfully, the seller included some surprisingly nice plastic straws too - they must’ve heard about me 😂Now I just toss a few pieces of fresh or frozen fruit into my glass, add distilled water, and either leave it overnight in the fridge or make it first thing in the morning so it’s ready by midday. Using distilled water keeps the taste cleaner, and I even make fruity ice cubes for extra flavor. And for some weird reason, because I’m using a straw, I drink so much more. What is that??Using these glasses helped turn what felt like an insurmountable task into something I actually crushed. These glasses don’t just look nice - they helped me make a change I was seriously resisting.Wish me luck in keeping it up!
