Absolutely Life Changing, Kitchen Wise!
Absolutely incredible. These have changed how I cook, store, reheat, and freeze my food. They currently offer 3 sizes and I want to help you understand the sizes. Purekra, PLEASE create a smaller one for the smaller 9. 10, or 11 oz bowls and you'd have a perfect solution for many people.28 oz (this one) - These are fantastic and are by far my most used. To tell the different between these and the 18, I thought I was goin to have a problem, but these have a second inner ring, the other doesn't, easy to tell apart. I use these to put leftovers in, individual servings like stuffed peppers, lasagna, veggies, mashed potatoes, sharable sides, etc. I freeze a lot in these and they are very tight and even suck all the air out if you put hit stuff in them and lid them while cooling (exposed surface area is the enemy in freezing). These are also very used for dry items in my kitchen also, like extra bread crumbs, etc.18 oz. These are for the cereal bowl size and they are nice but I don't use them nearly as much as the 28 oz. They are good for small individual servings to have ready like pudding, overnight oats, smaller servings, individual portions. If I had to get rid of one, it would be these.30 oz. These fit the dinner plate bowl as I call it. They are awesome for making just right sized freezer meals and seal very well. I use these a lot when meal prepping full meals and freezing them. It's nice to go in the basement grocery store in the freezer and pick out a few different meals for the next few days. I got these hoping they fit the 32 oz serving bowl and they are ok but not a great seal. I picked up some of the similar size 46 oz. versa meal bowl and bam, they fit almost as well as on the 30 oz. but a slight stretch.Buyers should know, this kind of silicone is very good quality but can appear spotty and dirty even though they are clean. Is relatively stain resistant although I have not heated with tomato sauce but if not heated, they stay clean. I did have one lid get some Turmeric stains but that's OK. They work well in the microwave, just vent them. These, along with Corelle, have revolutionized storage in my kitchen. I got rid of all but a set of larger glass storage containers and this is all I use in the house now. Simple, efficient, clean, and organized! I find I am wasting less food and having stuff done up like a cafeteria is pretty legit. They can be written on by sharpie and it comes off but nothing marks great. I found that dissolvable foodservice labels are thin and cheap work well, even in the freezer. They absorb some humidity in the fridge and adhere to the silicone pretty well. Not perfect but works because they are not able to be seen through (go Clear Corelle!).My only complaint is they are not made in the USA.
