I love these — great value, work perfectly, and all you need is a mason jar to start fermenting
I absolutely love these fermentation lids and couldn’t be happier with how well they work. If you enjoy fermenting at home or want to start, this set makes the entire process simple, clean, and stress-free. The fact that everything you need comes in the kit (aside from the mason jar itself) makes this an incredible value. What stands out the most is the one-way waterless airlock valve. It completely eliminates the need for “burping” jars every day, which is honestly one of the most annoying parts of fermenting. These lids automatically release built-up gas while keeping oxygen out, so fermenting feels effortless and worry-free. I’ve used them for sauerkraut and pickled veggies, and the results have been consistent and successful every time.I also really appreciate that the set includes the canning rings. That might seem like a small thing, but it makes a big difference — you’re not scrambling to find extra rings or reuse old ones. You truly just need a wide-mouth mason jar and you’re good to go. The rings feel sturdy, well-made, and hold everything securely in place. The silicone lids are food-safe, flexible, and very easy to clean. They rinse off quickly and don’t hold onto odors, which is important when fermenting strong foods like kimchi or garlic-heavy vegetables. The low-profile design also makes storage easy when they’re not in use.If you’re someone who loves making probiotic-rich foods at home, this kit is a game changer. It makes fermenting feel approachable, organized, and beginner-friendly, while still being great for more experienced fermenters. Plus, it saves money in the long run compared to buying store-bought fermented foods.Overall, these fermentation lids work exactly as described, are a great value, and make fermenting genuinely enjoyable. I love fermenting with these and will definitely continue using them for all my future batches. Highly recommend for anyone interested in homemade, healthy fermented foods. 🥬✨

Functional fermentation lids, but the included ring doesn’t fit wide mouth Mason jars
This fermentation lid set has been working well for my current batch of peppers — the silicone airlock design functions as advertised, and the fermentation process is moving along without any issues. The silicone portion seats properly on a jar and allows gases to escape while keeping everything else out. However, the metal ring that comes with the kit is not compatible with any of my Mason jars. It doesn’t fit standard‑mouth jars or wide‑mouth jars, despite the listing stating that it’s meant for Mason jars and showing “wide mouth” in the description. I ended up discarding the included ring and using one of my own, which worked fine with the silicone piece. If you already have compatible Mason jar rings on hand, the silicone lids themselves seem to perform well. Just be aware that the included ring may not fit actual Mason jars, so you might need to use your own to get a proper seal.

The bands SUCK but the silicone part works with MY bands and my jars!
IN THE BOX: 4 silicone Fermentation lids with wide mouth bandsFour silicone lids in 4 colors: pink, purple, teal and blue, each one with its own band, all for wide mouth jars. Each one has a burp hole that also seems "tight" enough to not let in bacteria..just for natural burping! I am not going to measure them because the size of a standard wide mouth jar is pretty well known. On the top of each silicone lid is a handle of sorts. I love the colors and I think the silicone will last for quite a while, and I love the idea that I don't have to be mindful of burping every day, that they burp themselves. There are no instructions included.Interestingly, the lids are a pain in the rear. You have to have them set JUST RIGHT to screw them down WITHOUT the silicone part, and it is almost IMPOSSIBLE with the silicone in place. I would sure like to give more stars, but at this point, the bands were part of the deal for the 9.99 and so I think either a price cut is in order or better bands. I think the silicone lids are going to be great, but the bands SUCK. The bands that are on the jars in my picture are MY bands. At least they were able to work with my bands!

Burpless Fermenting For the Win.
Florida humidity adds an extra challenge to fermenting, so I’m always testing better ways to manage gas, moisture, and mold. I’m currently using these lids for pickles, fermented lemons, and a small batch of sauerkraut, and so far they’re performing better than methods I’ve used in the past (glass weights, river rocks, and traditional burp-style lids). The big win for me is that these are burpless. I like to tuck my ferment jars into a dark corner and leave them alone, so not having to remember to release pressure is a huge convenience. The one-way valve seems to be doing its job — I’m about four days into this cycle and everything looks and smells exactly the way it should.I also appreciate that the lids come in different colors. That may sound minor, but it’s actually very practical if your jars are stored out of sight or if you’re running multiple batches on staggered schedules. The colors make it easy to track what started when.So far, these feel sturdy, low-profile, and easy to use on wide-mouth mason jars. If they continue to perform well through the rest of this ferment, I’ll happily buy another set.
