Easy to Use Once You Get the Pressure and Position Down
I ordered these stainless steel cake scrapers to help me with my absolutely limited cake decorating skills. I love nothing more than to bake someone a cake for their birthday, but they never quite turned out the way I hoped they would. For my husband’s birthday, I used the scalloped edge scraper to make a decorative design around the sides. I used a Lazy Susan to help with the process. It did take some practice to make it look decent. My first suggestion is to apply even pressure and make sure the scraper is vertical, not tilted in some odd way. My second suggestion is to apply light even pressure. I did have to start again several times, but trial and error ended up working to my favor. Now I can’t wait to try the other scrapers on additional cakes.A few things I really like about these baking tools: they are constructed of a relative thick stainless steel making them especially rigid; you get more than the four basic designs because two of the scrapers have different pattern options on each edge; they make even an amateur cake baker look like a rock star!
