Pretty thin

The CrystalSylara 4 piece valentine placemats are very sweet and perfect for Valentine’s Day especially for kids. The only downfall is if you’re trying to protect the table from anything hot or wet it more than likely will go through these placemats. They are very thin and I don’t think you can wash them in the washer because the look like they might fall apart. That’s the reason why I gave it four stars. Other than that, they are extremely cute and festive. If you’re just going to use them for one day during the year, I think they’ll be fine. You can also just spot wash them with a wet cloth and some soap. They did come folded, so if you want the wrinkles out, you can iron them, but make sure you put something in between the iron and the placemat and do not put the iron too hot. You can also place them in the dryer on a low heat with an ice cube and the wrinkles will come out. I’m going to use them on Valentine’s Day when I serve my family their Valentine’s Day breakfast, which I do every year. So for me, they are perfect for what I need them for.

Thin placemats

The product is nice if you’re mainly using it for declaration. I needed placemats to protect my new table and while these are cute, they are very thin they won’t protect the table from hot item. Overall cheap, feel en expensive but are fine if you’re only looking for decorative placemats l.

Bright and cheery, good value for money

These Valentines placemats are a nice addition to my table. They won't slip around on your table and they are a good size for a complete dinner setting. The color is a bold red with contrasting white lettering and hearts. It really catches your eye when put on a white tablecloth. It is not too thick, which I find to be an advantage. As you can see in one of my pictures, the end of the stitching around the edge is a little lumpy, but they are still a good value for the money. I have not washed them, so cannot comment on that, but I did iron them gently to get the creases out from the shipping.

Cute placements for your valentine table setting.

These placemats are cute. They are a nice addition to my Valentine table decorations. However, I'm giving them a 4 star rating due to the quality. I feel like the stock photos make them look like a higher quality, and a darker red color on nicer fabric. The fabric seems to be a very lightweight canvas with a non-slip coating on the back. The placemats arrive folded in small squares in vacuum sealed packaging which leaves severe creasing when you unpack. I do not recommend ironing this fabric - I believe it would melt. I used a small handheld steamer on the lowest setting to remove the creases, and it also relaxed the fibers and made it look better overall. They are 18" x 12.5" in size.

Heartwarming

I have placed these on our oak kitchen table and they look just great. Every time I walk through the kitchen they make me smile.These are not stiff like some placemats. Think restaurant-cloth-napkin-fabric weight. And they have a sizing or a waxy coating that gives them some body. But because of that very feature you must be extra careful when ironing.These arrived folded and the creases were very evident when unpackaged. It's no big deal to get out your iron and go over these- those creases disappear very quickly. But by the time I did the fourth one my iron had gotten a bit too hot and I ended up with a pink iron!I'm not worried, the placemat itself was not damaged at all because I caught it in time after noticing a burning plastic sort of smell. I left a little of the crease intact rather than risk ruining the placemat completely by ironing too thoroughly. And as they laid flat on the table after a while the creases disappeared pretty much completely.Glad to have these- I will preserve them by hand-soaking/washing in a dishpan so that they will last and keep their shape. They definitely be on display in my kitchen at this time of year in the future.Happy Valentine's Day!

Good color, textured material, a little thin

I did not have any Valentine place mats, so I was happy to get these. The design is simple and tasteful. The red is a good shade that is bright but not overwhelming. The top of the material is textured and not smooth which is good to keep the plates from sliding. It is only one ply and thin so they do slide around easily when nothing is on them. They did need to be ironed to get the creases out and sustained the heat of the iron just fine. I haven’t spilled anything on them yet so I don’t know about stain resistance.

Cute design, but thinner than expected

These placemats are cute and festive. The red color and heart pattern are exactly as shown (not a BRIGHT red but not too subdied either) and work well for Valentine’s Day (or another romantic occasion) decor. Size is accurate at 12 x 18 inches, and they look nice on the table once laid flat.That said, they are on the thinner side. They feel more like lightweight polyester fabric than a substantial placemat, so don’t expect much cushioning or structure. Second pic is held up to light.They also arrived very creased from the packaging. The folds were noticeable enough that I had to run them through the dryer with a damp cloth to get the creases out. I didn’t want to iron them since I wasn’t sure how the material would handle heat.Overall, they’re fine for seasonal or decorative use, but if you’re looking for thicker, heavier placemats or something that arrives table-ready, these may fall a bit short.
