It works

My first use was on a small kitchen knife. I rested the knife on a cutting board to lift it enough to put the edge in the middle of the sharpener. I didn't spend a lot of time on this knife, but the knife is now sharp enough for kitchen use. There are videos of similar sharpeners making a knife as sharp as a razor. I didn't do that, but it might be possible if a person spent some time on it.
