I have been looking at flatware for years. I want to upgrade to something a bit more rustic for our log cabin and loved the black. I ended up purchasing this twice to have a few more pieces Sturdy, not too heavy, good craftsmanship. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
Love these. Very esthetic and durable
I was excited for this set to arrive as it will replace a 10-year-old Oneida set that has served me well but that is looking a little dated. This set has a look that's modern, elegant and yet still everyday. I worry a bit over time what the handles will look like. The texture is almost bark-like, and it seems as if it could accumulate grime. In the meantime, though, that texture makes these really easy to grip. I like the size and shape of both the teaspoons and the larger soup spoons. And the knives have serration on one side that make them effective at cutting without being sharp to the touch. While I like the size and shape of the dinner and salad forks, the tines are just a little too bending for my liking. I notice that each utensil weighs only about 3/4 what the similar utensil from my old Oneida set weighs. That suggests to me the quality is not quite what I'd like. But so far, I'm enjoying the novelty of new flatware.
The quality is way better than expected especially for the price and quantity you get. They are not easily bent and feel very thick and solid. The grip on them is great especially with the design on the handle. The knives are pretty sharp but not too sharp. They clean easily and seem to be very rust resistant. I left one in the sink in a bowl of water and it didn't show any signs of rust or tarnishing. Overall, it's worth it especially if you like the design.
This is a high quality flatware set. These are not the cheap, lightweight forks and spoons that you get from the dollar store. These are beautifully shiny, thick and have a good weight to them. The patterened handles really add a lot to the set. It draws your eye without being too much. So far these look and work great. I have not seen any tarnishing other than a few water spots that can be remedied by towel drying. I'm glad I got this generous 40 piece set. They are perfect for my family.
I originally bought this set for my partner to use in his downstairs kitchen, but they turned out to be way too nice for him. I promptly reclaimed them and now save them for when we have friends over for dinner.The design is modern and attractive, and each piece has a nice heft to it. There are no flimsy bendy spoons here! They feel substantial in the hand and definitely look more expensive than they are. We haven’t had them long enough to comment on durability, but so far, they’re holding up beautifully. If anything changes, I’ll come back and update.My only regret? That I ordered the 20-piece set instead of the 40.
When I received my UPS shipment today one of the boxes was very heavy and I thought it was possibly a battery I ordered. When I open the box I found it was a silverware! I was very impressed. This is not cheap stamped out silverware that you can easily bend. I generally put the spoon to the test immediately trying to serve ice cream. I can tell that this will pass my hard, ice cream test without bending yet is stylish enough for a nice dinner with guests.Very nice design on the handles and the set also includes the teaspoon and a tablespoon as well as both the dinner and salad fork.I believe this is a good value. It looks heavily made, not the cheap bendable silverware. I would order this again.
