Regular Mouth Canning Jar Lids

These canning jar lids are used for the smaller regular mouth 2.75" diameter glass jars. They don't include the canning bands, but the screw-on rings are reusable and are removed after the jars are sealed. These metal lids shouldn't be re-used for sealing. They seem like good quality and are pretty thick. The lid has a pop indicator to indicate if it's been sealed with you press on the center. The top side of the lid is brushed smooth metal. There are printed lines for labeling and date with a marker. The underside have a white coating and an integrated silicone seal. The seal has a bevel that sits down on the lip of the jar. I like that the box says BPA Free material. The box of 48 is a good price for $7.99.

I’m reviewing the canning lids.This is the package of 48 regular mouth canning lids for mason jars. It’s always good to use a clean seal when you’re doing home canning. I mostly make pickles, which ferment through a salting process. I need a good seal on my jars because they do bubble. I’ll be using a fresh one on every new jar of pickles.These fit like most do -they have a rubber seal around the edge. They do not come with the rings. You’ll have to buy the ring separately. They appear to be a good quality. I consider them a good value.

49 regular size lids for canning mason jars

This is a set of 48 canning lids for regular mouth sized jars at $8 at the time of writing this review. I got these lids because my apple tree produces a good number of apples and while they are quite a bit smaller than store bought ones, I can multiple jars of apple jam even though they are very tasty. The lids are of good thickness and seem to be made of quality metal, and even has the designated place to add in the dates. I think that's a nice detail since it's a surefire way of reminding yourself to write it down when you are canning, making it much easier to keep track of when you produced what. I do have both Kerr and Ball brand jars and these will work both of them and any other regular sized mouth mason jars, so I am happy!
