I typically cut cheese with a real knife of course, but when serving a cheese platter it is great to offer a set of small tools such as this so guests can further cut or pick up pieces. For that, the knives need to be small.This set is the perfect companion with a selection of cutting modes and a two prong fork to spear things. They are very well made, each with a small solid hardwood handle securely attached with a reinforcement cap. The exact type of wood is not specified, however. The blades are very sharp and will easily cut through hard cheese.Each handle is marked with branding and a cute picture of a dog. While this sets is apart from similar products, it is of course not obvious at all what a dog has to do with a cheese knife. Well, it does not distract and I am sure even a cat lover will have no problem with the markings. Overall, nice kit.

My first impression of these cheese knives were that they look really nice and feel high quality.It wasn't until I actually tried to use them later that I discovered how uncomfortable and unusable they actually are.Maybe I just have meat hooks for lady hands, but I had to stop using these and switch out for regular knife. I couldn't get a good grip on these. My knuckles kept banging the countertop. Cutting any cheeses sturdier than fresh mozzarella was not fun.
