To force myself to eat reasonable portions of ice cream I've been serving it to myself in ramekins. That worked, but didnt' feel special enough. That and holding a ramekin will sort of warm up the ice cream too fast when I'm eating it. So I got these. The glass dishes are adorable and hold a reasonable portion of dessert. Because they have a stem to a base, you can hold the dish from the bottom, not disrupting the temperature of the bowl piece so your ice cream stays colder, longer. They're a fairly thick glass and have been holding up in our dishwasher just fine. The only thing I didn't love was the obvious seam in the design. Otherwise, these are perfect.
