Great quality
Holds twelve heads of Romaine Lettuce chopped and got the water spun out. Impressive, but definitely for feeding a large group. I fixed salad for 55 people and it was perfect.

Works as expected. Does everything that you want a salad spinner to do.
This spinner worked (used 1-2 times per day) well for 2 weeks. All of the sudden if would not spin at all. I could see stress in the plastic where the handle goes into the lid as the plastic became discolored. All of the sudden it would was locked up. I was able to free it and able to spin again. So far it is ok.
As an avid cook, I make greens for my family on a regular basis, and the most tedious aspect of that process has always been cleaning my greens -- until this 5 gallon size commercial salad spinner! I'd never even conceived a salad spinner being this large, but it's fantastic. I'm able to stack nearly all of my leaves in the basket and spin away to draw off the water and dry them; I can now complete the drying part in 2 batches vs. 4-6 batches with my regular salad spinner...I've gained a ton of efficiency, and this spinner works really well. The spinner is pretty lightweight for its size, it's easy to maneuver and operate. The inner basket is sizeable, being 5 gallons total, and it places very easily inside the main tub. Aside from the extra large size, another feature I love is the built-in drain hose; makes it so that you don't have to manually pour off the water, it drains through the hose while you're spinning. It's simple to setup on the kitchen countertop, run the hose into the sink, and start spinning...The handle/crank is very comfortable to hold given its size, and it's easy to turn. I've found that I don't need to spin it as aggressively as I do with my smaller spinners to achieve the same results of dry greens - this spinner is designed quite well in that regard. It's not a small unit, it takes up some space stored in my pantry on the floor - but it's earned the space it uses. It also seems well-made overall, since considered a commercial unit, I therefore imagine it should last for years in my home kitchen with periodic use. Overall, I think this spinner's performance is excellent, it's a kitchen time-saver, and it's well worth the price.
I grow a lot of greens on my farm, including year-round spinach, lettuce, and garden sorrel. Washing the greens isn’t a problem but drying them is. When I saw this commercial salad spinner, I knew that it was the answer to my problems. In the past, I’ve used both paper towels and cloth towels, and ended up with identical results; the only difference being that I had to compost or throw away the paper towels or wash and dry the cloth towels. This salad spinner saves me both money and time. When I was in high school, salad spinners first came out, they ended up being a joke during the holidays as a gag gift. But now that I’m an adult and growing my family’s food, I can see how useful they really are.Previously, I had considered buying a regular-sized salad spinner, but I never did because I knew that it would end up being a lot of work given the amount of greens that I grow which feeds two different households on my farm. With this commercial size, though, it’s absolutely perfect! This salad spinner came with everything that I needed, including a detachable hose to remove the water from the bottom (see photos). I love the fact that the hose can be removed because I have a large farm sink that easily holds the salad spinner (see photo), allowing the water to drip directly into the sink without needing the hose at all.I decided to test how well this spinner worked using just a handful of garden sorrel, and after just a few spins I could see water welling at the bottom (see video). After only about five minutes of spinning, all the excess water had drained (see photo). This salad spinner is going to save me SO much time and money! I left a bit of moisture on the leaves before bagging them so that the sorrel remains fresh (see photo). I wish that I had salad spinner twenty years ago! With the price of food still skyrocketing, I’ve been planting more crops and canning more to try to save my family money, and this commercial salad spinner is definitely worth it’s weight in gold. This product is heavy duty, so I don’t have to worry about it snapping and breaking while I’m using it and it’s easy to operate. I just can’t say enough good things about this product! This commercial salad spinner is a real game changer, not just for businesses but also for small farmers like me who need dependable equipment to work with.
This is exactly what I’ve been wanting for years. I used to work at Chipotle and we used these huge spinners to dry our lettuce. I’ve had the tiny salad spinners and they never cut it. You can really get your lettuce dry with this big one though, all you’ve gotta do is put it on a stable surface and use some elbow grease. The basket also serves as a container to wash your lettuce in too, making this a one and done sort of thing. The plastic is super thick and sturdy and I imagine will last many many years. Overall, super happy.Review for Wutfly 5 Gallon Large Commercial Manual Salad Spinner/Dryer
I don't know about 4-5 heads of lettuce at a time but this is much better than the normal sized ones that are full with just 1 head. The extra room really helps throw off the water. Though this is a lot larger than the normal small units, this is much much better to help dry off greens. Now it is a bit harder to turn than the smaller ones, and probably more so if you have it fully full. This is probably meant for a small commercial kitchen than a home kitchen. But it works so well for the home kitchen if you have the room to store it when not in use.
