That could only happen if you fill it to the brim. Smaller than I expected....but I like them
I was a bit surprised at how small a few of the containers were, but I’m thinking garlic and shallots could go into those smaller ones. Four of the containers fit neatly into my crisper drawer, so I was very happy about that, including the tiniest one I will talk about next.The first thing I noticed was the super tiny one and I’m thinking bad thoughts at this point because I felt like it was a filler product, but then I had about a cup of cherry tomatoes so used it for that. To show how small it is, I put 2 eggs in it and took a picture. I put 2 Fresno peppers in the second smallest one. I do hope these containers make them last longer. This container would hold about 4 large Fresno peppers, I’m thinking, but I only had 2 on hand, for test purposes. And the middle container holds a pint of tomatoes comfortably. 14 ounces of Brussel Sprouts fit comfortably in the 2nd largest container and the largest holds my Walmart lettuce.The containers are a nice quality and the 4-sided locks are easy to open and close.I want to try strawberries and see if they last longer than normal because this is strawberry season and I always have to rush to finish my strawberries. Of course they would need to go in the one holding the Brussel sprouts. Would be nice if I could buy another one of those.I measured each container and here are the interior measurements of each white basket, longest side x short side. I could not make any sense out of the measurements I saw on Amazon's web page.#1. 3-7/8 x 2-5/16”#2. 5 x 3-3/8”#3. 6.25 x 4.5”#4. 7.25 x 5.5”#5. 8.5 x 6-3/4”I'm very happy with these as long as they do their job and keep my produce fresher for a longer time. The baskets have little feet which keeps them raised up to allow for air circulation which is supposed to help with that. The current price is fair at $18.
