tricky to assemble bakery boxes
I bake often as I'm an HR lady who owns a small farm and I'm constantly giving away muffins and zucchini bread. I had hoped that these cake boxes would be an easy way to carry things into the office without having to remember to bring something home. These definitely serve that purpose well and the clear lid lets people look in without opening the box. I did find that these came with zero instructions on how to assemble and I had to wing it. I found that some of the boxes were easier to put together than others due to how deeply some were scored and others were not. the lids overall fit well and were the easiest part of assembly. the cardboard's pretty thick is so it does take some flexing to get these to fold nicely. I'd say that these are looking nice like a bakery box and if you're looking to present something durable for a few days and these definitely held up to my team opening and closing them several times a day.

VERY STURDY AND PROFESSIONAL LOOKING CAKE BOXES!
I was very impressed with these cake boxes. They are well made. The card stock they are made from appears to be very thick and very high quality-the kind that's not easily damaged or prone to show stains. The boxes are large and can store your baked goods safely. If you're using them to transport your desserts, you will feel like a professional using these bento cake boxes. There are even plastic resusable boxes contained in the package that are also very well made. Overall, I would highly recommend these boxes. They're sold at a fair price. They look good and are useful to store/transport large and medium-sized cakes, pies and smaller baked good items. I would buy these boxes again.

My boxes arrived in a plastic bag with no label, no assembly instructions, no ribbons, and no stickers. I referred to the ad for the assembly video and agree with the other reviewer than pre-folding is necessary. I struggled only with the lids, as I had to bend them in the center to get the tabs to slide in. The lids are not clear as they have a slight haze in the plastic. I was hoping that "bento" meant I had a choice of inserts, but each insert is intended for cupcakes and another baked item at the same time. I rarely mix those items in a single box. To boot, there is no way I can place a cake in that square hole without ruining frosting unless it is on a riser. So, I doubt I will use the inserts. However, the box is sturdy. It is extremely large in volume at 10"x5". I will be putting a larger selection of holiday goodies in it on top of shredded paper and tying a holiday ribbon around it. A loaf of sandwich bread or two loaf cakes and accompaniments would also fit well, or one larger layer cake. However, the sides of the box do not drop for cake insertion or removal like many bakery boxes, so lifting in and out could be tedious.

Has good storage capacity
These boxes have large dimensions to hold big items. It took a while to figure out how to fold in the correct order to make a box from a flat sheet. The first cardboard took a long while by the time I reached 5th box, I could fold it in less than a minute. I noticed folding the corners along their perforations helped to bring the sides up and also following clockwise or anticlockwise direction locked a side by its adjacent side. The lid has a plastic sheath which can be removed for transparency or leave it for a frosty appearance. The bottom of these boxes are made of thin cardboard so don't hold the square box shape well but the lid is made of thicker and sturdier material to hold the shape.

Missing items but otherwise not bad.
For a listing that leads with “ Each package includes 5 transparent boxes, 5 stickers, and 5 gift ribbons” I was disappointed that those items weren’t included. That said, here are my thoughts on what WAS in the package.Measurements:Base is 10 inch by 10 inch insideInside depth is 4 3/4 inchPros:+ The box is made of a nice thick card stock+ The boxes are pretty easy to put together as long as you fold all of the side sections before you try to bend in the corners of the base+ The crystal clear cover comes with a film on both sides ensuring a beautifully flawless cover when you’re ready to use it.Cons:- It’s not great that they left out the ribbons and sticker seal, but at least what was omitted was less important than the box itself- The insert doesn’t seem very useful. It seems to be designed to hold 5 cupcakes (2.5 in circular holes) and 6” one square cake. The listing shows a small round cake, but any cake that goes in there is likely to get damaged if sitting inside the 6” square. The cake would require extra protection on the bottom 1.5” (just under 4 cm). I don’t recommend using the insert at all and simply consider this a standard cake box.
