I got a set of five kitchen knives. It doesn’t specify on the knives themselves what metal they’re made of. The package also doesn’t provide that information. I can see the brand name HOSHANHO and it says it’s for home use. The package includes contact info for the manufacturer, such as address, phone, and email, and it states that the knives are made in China.On each knife, I see the brand HOSHANHO and the words “Horse Series” engraved. Each knife has a different length and type of blade. I measured each knife by hand.The bread knife has an overall length of approximately 13 inches. It has an 8-inch serrated blade and a handle measuring about 5 inches. I noticed the serrated edge is sharp enough to cut bread cleanly without crushing it, whether it’s soft or hard bread.The chef knife is versatile and can be used for a wide range of cutting tasks. I measured its overall length to be about 13 1/8 inches. The blade measures approximately 8 1/16 inches, and the handle is around 5 1/8 inches.The Santoku knife has an overall length of roughly 12 1/4 inches, with a blade about 7 inches long and a handle measuring approximately 5 1/8 inches. It has a very sharp edge, so I handle it with care. However, it allows me to make precise cuts.The utility knife is smaller than the previously mentioned knives. It has an overall length of about 10 5/8 inches, with a 6-inch blade and a handle length of approximately 4 5/8 inches.The paring knife is the smallest in the set. I use it mostly for cutting fruit. I measured its overall length to be approximately 8 3/8 inches, with a blade measuring about 3 3/4 inches and a handle around 4 5/8 inches. It’s my preferred knife for paring tasks because of its small size.After using any of the knives, I rinse them clean and dry them immediately, as I learned they are not dishwasher safe.
