I plan on growing root vegetables this year so I needed breathable bags to keep them all in. These have worked well just for grocery stuff for now.They’re reasonably durable with a good storage capacity. Don overfill though. A decent value for the money given you get ten of them and the size is not bad either.
This is a great mesh storage bag that can be used for many different things besides produce. I've used these types of bags primarily for fruit/vegetable items that I store both inside and outside of our refrigerator. This bag is quite large comparatively (see pic). The quality of the mesh material and drawstring closure gives this bag lots of strength without the potential of breaking/tearing thus the versatility of holding many other types of items.The bright orange color gives it an easy to locate/ and identify this bag - although it might be a little difficult to identify what inside it versus a bag the it transparent or clear. One last note is,these bags are easy to clean - soap and water will be usually all it takes. Overall, a great storage bag that has lots of size and strength, easy to locate with its orange coloring, very strong and is selling at a very fair price.
I was delighted to see this group of onion bags for sale! I’ve just begun home gardening with over a dozen raised beds and last year I managed several gallons of potatoes. It was rather frustrating finding mesh bags for storage at the time. I also had a number of squash and pears that I needed to store.These are the giant bags you would get 50 pounds of onions in… but as you fill them, you can tie them off to separate varieties or amounts. This is so much nicer than having a lot of little bags hanging everywhere.
To start with what I liked I would say I love the sizing of these bags and the drawstring at the to which works well and is handy when transporting. However to be honest aside from that I was not very impressed with the quality of this bags. The weaving is flimsy and will easily catch and snag and the stitching of the white string along the top and bottom are poorly done. I did take the two one strings and knit them to her them from unraveling an easy but I feel these could have been done much better. The white string itself is easily torn and isn't strong by any means. Although the sizing is nice I do not thin these are sturdy enough to handle the type of weight I was hoping they would hold. Thy also had a chemical smell upon opening them. I will still use these but only for items that are lighter weight or if using it for weightier item only fill the bag partially. The price point is rather low but so is the quality.
I was not prepared for the size of these mesh bags, but that’s my own fault. I had a few bags of apples and a few bags of onions that needed to be taken out of the plastic and placed in these to keep them from going bad so fast. I was eager to get these for that sole purpose.Needless to say, I didn’t have near as much produce to warrant such big bags! But that won’t deter me from using these! I appreciate the size because I do often come across large amounts of shelf produce without a good way to store them. These bags are definitely going to make a difference.It does seem like the drawstring at the top is flimsy and won’t hold a lot of weight, but so far, even having my sister (118 lbs) holding on to and hanging from the bag, it didn’t break or rip…so I think they can handle quite a bit. Probably more than I can physically carry.So far, these bags are pretty durable and will definitely help keep shelf produce from spoiling faster.
This is a 10 pack of extra large mesh bags. And I should reiterate that these are LARGE. I use mesh bags for my garlic, onions and such when I harvest but these bags are really for large quantities or large items than garlic. I think I could use them for butternut squash and delicata squash. Maybe apples as well. They are made well and appear strong. Strong enough for firewood as they description indicates. They should be good for allowing good air circulation around your produce. For the price and quality I would say these are a good value. Just realize how big they are and make sure that's what you need.
I ordered these for my husband. He is a great gardener and we have a ton of vegetables every year that need to be stored. Onions, winter squashes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc.I surprised him with these bags. I opened them and showed him what I had ordered. He looked at them and immediately took them out to his garden shed.The bags are well made, woven from polypropylene and double sewn on the edges and seams. The drawstrings are threaded through the mesh and are quite strong to hold the contents off the ground by hanging from a nail or hook.As a gardening tool, these are a must for the home vegetable grower.
