Very satisfied with the quality of the bags
I ordered 1 pack to try out, I have ordered 2 more since. I use a chamber vacuum sealer and they work great in it. The bags get delivered quickly and the zipper feature is great for keeping things fresh after opening.
Good price good quality
These are very thick and seal every single time on the first try in my Kitchen Boss vacuum sealer. I didn’t realize when I ordered them that they had a zipper seal and was pleasantly surprised! After the hubby sliced open a couple of bags that had been in the freezer, I had to show him that he needs to slice the other end because they were resealable bags! For the first 2 or 3 sessions of sealing food up in these bags, I wrote on them w/a Sharpie to warn him not to open the wrong end again! These are great little bags, and wish I could find them in the quart and gallon size, but haven’t been able to so far. Please be aware that the zipper closure is EXTREMELY difficult to open the first time. It’s a very very strong closure! I definitely recommend these, but if you have arthritis in your hands, it may not be a good idea since they can be so difficult to open.
I LOVE these bags! A Foodsaver is one of my most used appliances in my kitchen, since I am a single person! I prepare most of my meals from scratch and buy in bulk. All my beans, grains like rice, quinoa, barley, etc. are all in canning jars in my cupboard! Nothing gets stale! I used some corn chips in a recipe once and put the rest in a jar. Opened it 6 months later when a friend came and I served some chili and they tasted as fresh as the day I opened them! I don't enjoy using the normal Foodsaver bags because they are so expensive! Also the zip ones cannot be used in the freezer! They often lose their seal.(Instructions tell you not to use them in the freezer.) These have a zip seal at the top of the bag and open at the bottom. You fill at the bottom and seal. The zip end, when you want to use it, must be trimmed off a little. Just like packages you buy at a store where the back is reusable and you trim a little to access the zip top. Same here. You can freeze some nuts, later take them out, cut off the top edge and put it in the fridge with a zip top to use every day! Same thing with frozen fruit. You could just keep sealing the bottom as you used the fruit up and put back in the freezer and still open the top to get some out! They are a tiny bit thicker, and for me, are easier to get the Foodsaver I have to seal them! (I prefer the clamp down version and have one you slide the bag into to get to seal and they can be fussier!) So I am VERY VERY happy with these bags! Cost less and work better!! Hurray!
I make beef jerky and these bags will come hold up to 1lb of jerky.
They seal good but won’t vacuum.
