It does light up...
A dollar per coaster feels too expensive when they are this bad, but 50 cents is about right. The main issue I had with these coasters is that they really only work if your drink is quite opaque; if not, the light coming from this coaster is so bright it'll blind you. However, the fact that these are stickable is quite fun, as I think one could think of lots of fun uses for these.I also think that the way the batteries are just out there is hideous. You can easily see them through your glass if it's not opaque enough. Thus, the quality of these coasters is low.

You might want to stick them on before you fill your glass. Less chance of spilling!
LED Light Up Drink Coasters are fun to use. Just peel and stick to bottom of your drink. Great for use in a media room. They have more functionality than just on the bottom of a drink. I put one on the bottom of a glass vase with fresh flowers for a time. It looked amazing all evening. They are a good value for the money. You can replace their batteries.

Super Fun but a Terrible Coaster
These are super fun. They are little foam discs that light up in your choice of three patterns. They are also stickers. Each arrives with a small plastic guard that stops the batteries from connecting, so be sure to pull that out before use. All of the ones I have tried to far have worked well. What they are not, is coasters. Well, they could work but only if the base of the glass is quite small! And even then, because they are made of foam and circuitry, they make whatever sits on top of them inherently less balanced. Here is what you CAN do with them. Stick one on your kid to help keep track of them at a carnival. Use a couple to enliven your protest posters. I am thinking of passing them out to all of my friends to put on their shirts at a dance party I have coming up.They say they last 12 hours, which is more than enough time for any of the above listed scenarios. Just be very careful putting one on something that could spill.

Bright Idea, Poor Execution
These LED coasters look fun in theory, but in practice they’re disappointing. They’re extremely small and don’t provide a stable base for drinks, which makes them feel more like novelty stickers than usable coasters. Because they shift so easily, they end up being more distracting than decorative. The lights work, but the size and instability make them impractical for parties or bar use. Overall, not very useful for their intended purpose. Pricey for the lack of purpose.

Fun concept, very poor execution
This looked like a fun idea, but the execution is not at all good. They can’t really be used to light up a glass. The lights can blink quickly or slowly or stay on steadily. That’s the good news. The foam disc bends easily. And the small size makes it kind of a joke as a coaster for anything much larger than a shot glass. And while the lights seem bright on their own when exposed via the underside, they’re too weak to shine through the foam, and the hoped for effect just doesn’t happen. As the video I’ve posted shows, the lights barely show through the top side. Also, the battery and all of the metal components are completely exposed on the underside of the disc. I got the area wet and the lights stayed on, but with extended exposure, makes me wonder.Maybe you can use them for some kind of fun illumination, but at 58 cents each in the bag of fifty, and considering how unlikely they are to last, they’re overpriced no matter how you might try to use them.

Too Small to be Coasters
These are not coasters that you would put under a glass to protect a table … they’re too small. So, let’s call them “Party Light-up Discs That Will Probably Cause Most Glasses to Fall Over and Spill Your Drink.”Much better description.I’ve attached a video review where you can see the discs in action, but here’s the gist:Are they a good value for the cost? Yes and no.No, because they’re not functional drink coasters and they’re cheaply made.Yes, because if you want to use them to flash up your liquor bottles (or clear soap dispensers, like I did), or place them on a bookshelf under or behind glass vases or tchotchkes, because they’re really cheap, and you could buy enough to see your living room from space (or nearly).
