Good fit for 51mm portafilter
Decent quality entry level set. It does the job, and works as expected. But the fine details are missing. For instance, my fingers had some black greasy prints left on them after adjusting the black rings. I doubt you want to drink whatever that is. I highly recommend you clean the tamper/leveler, especially the black ring parts. Maybe disassemble it for easier cleaning? The tamper/leveler will take some adjusting to get the perfectly set, but this is to be expected. It is a bit tricky to get set, you have to unscrew the ring to loosen it up, the screw the insert to the right depth, then screw the ring back tight. and then do the same for the other side. The leveler side does kinda have a coarse feel to it when you turn it on the portafilter, which the high end ones do not have. But it performs just the same. However, once you get it dialed in, it should be good forever, as long as your dose and basket stay the same. The leveler side, you only want to set just deep enough to distribute and level the grounds when you turn it. The tamp side you want to set so that when the ring makes contact from you pressing on it, you have applied 10-15 lbs and the ring stops you from pressing harder. So you are setting a distance, not a pressure directly. This tool can really help make you setup be more efficient and fun.The funnel has some magnet which help it stick to the portafilter. This will help you from spilling grounds everywhere when pouring or when stirring with the WDT. I do kinda wish they funnel was a bit wider, but this is pretty standard basic shape. The WDT tool is the same exact one you get in many of these entry level kits. But it works just a good as any other of similar style. Just stir the grounds with the needle tool to break up any clumps and help distribute it a bit.So, in order, you would put the funnel on, fill with your dose, mix/breakup with WDT tool, remove funnel, gently put the leveler side on and then turn to level/distribute the grounds, then flip over the tool and put the tamp side on, and firmly press to tamp the grounds. Brush off any grounds on edge of portafilter, install in machine, make espresso. For the currently listed $37, you can't really beat it. Unless you want to go to the highly refined versions and pay more than double the cost. I just wish the level/tamp piece wasn't making my hands dirty and the setup was a bit more straightforward on how to get it dialed in.
