Functional and effective with good value.
This is a great kit. I have always used a dynamometric tamper and really appreciate that they take out the guesswork on applying the right amount of pressure. This one is less expensive that what I've used in the past and I do like that I can change out the spring for a different amount of pressure. The tamper itself doesn't have as much weight as I'd like that but is a small thing to give up. It is functional and effective. I do really appreciate the dosing ring and the fact it is magnetic. Might be a bit too strong of magnetism as I have had it pull the basket out of the portafilter a couple of times so I'm much more careful now. I do recommend this set.

Consistent tamping, slightly small fit
I really enjoy using this spring-loaded tamper, especially since it’s my first one. The design feels solid, and I like the circle pattern on the base as it looks clean and professional. The click feedback helps ensure consistent tamping every time and makes pulling espresso so easy to make, which has improved my espresso workflow. My only issue is that it feels slightly small for my 58mm basket. Still, for the quality, design, and performance, it’s a good value for the money.

Tamper and dosing funnel came packaged exactly as shown. Tamper came with the 15lb spring installed, I swapped in the 30lb spring and used it today for the first time. Pulled the best shot I've had out of these beans. The click when it hits the 30lb release is nice and tactile and the fit was perfect in my basket.

The only reason I am not giving this item 5 stars is because half of the magnets keep falling out of the dosing funnel. It is an amazing set and still works great however I have to be fair with my assessment of the product. I still highly recommend purchasing this product for making espresso.The tamper arrived nicely packaged ready to give as a gift for yourself or a friend. The tamper comes preloaded with a 30lb spring along with a replacement and a 20lb spring depending on your needs. As you can see in the pics both the tamper and the funnel are beautifully made and are really good quality materials. Both items are extremely easy to use. It does come with instructions if you’re new at making espresso. I received a nice espresso machine for Christmas and used the tamper to make the first cup. It fit well and pressed the grounds evenly. The espresso was very good.Note: There are two sizes of tamper so make sure to check your machine’s manual before ordering.
