This grinder is amazing. I am switching to milling my own flour and this grinder had great reviews. So glad I listened. It works very well and grinds 2 cups of wheat berries in less than 2 minutes. It is loud but works so well, I do not mind at all.
I had a very old grinder that I thought was good. This one surpassed the quality by 100%. It works great and doesn’t take up a lot of room in the kitchen.
Nice small mill grinder for the price point. It heavy and does a pretty good job at milling. I probable could have use the bigger one but for now, this works. You do need to stop it and let the flour cool in between the grinding because there’s no timer on the small unit or the wheat will over heat’ I used a full cup of wheat berries and the grinder is full. It’s a little noisy but it is mill and definitely a lot faster than my MillMock on my Kitchen Aid.
It doesn’t work as well as I would have liked but it gets the job done. It’s not good at really grinding things down into a fine powder but it gets its close, especially if you grind it a few times.
I feel like this has to be a copy of a much more expensive grinder because the quality on this is unexpectedly high for $36ish. It's metal and heavy and large. I expected something larger than my coffee grinder but also a bit on the dinky size/quality side but this is WAY better than I was expecting.We've done hard corn and rice and it handled both fine.If the price stays around $36, the value is crazy. I'm really happy with it so far. I'll update if there's an issue.I suppose the only downside is you can't control for grind. If you want something less fine you have to stop and be okay with a variety of coarseness and pick out the larger pieces. But for the price that's just trying to be nitpicky to say something less than positive.
If you're big on baking bread, a grain grinder is imperative! It can get pricey purchasing all the different kinds of floors you might want in artisanal bread. This grain grinder gets the job done and is easy to use.
This mill is fantastic. Powerful and solid. For the price it ia a bargain. 2/3 fill of wheat will fine mill in about 3 minutes, but to keep the grain colled below 140 degree, i milled 1 minute at a time with short break to cool. Overall very happy with this product.
